Journey to the Past

Have you ever wondered where your family came from? Well, I have. All my father knows is that my great-grandparents were from the "Old World," nothing clearer than that. "Old World" could mean a number of countries: Poland, Italy, Russia, or Lithuania. This is my journey on finding out just who my ancestors trully are. Any suggestions you have on finding my why there please leave a comment.

  1. I have always been interested in visiting the place where my family came from. I am portuguese and come from Madaria. My grandparents were born and raised there. When they came to this country they had thirteen children but lived in apartments. They never let go of thier beautiful house in the Azore Mountains. I like this blog and would like to hear more about your ancestors.

  2. I know most of my family history, but a website I used for information from old censuses was I think you can gather some information off of that website for free, but if you want to do some digging I think you have to pay for it. But finding out about your family can be an interesting journey.

  3. You can use Ancestry free for the first two weeks at home, and then after that you can use it free at your local library. If you think you'd like to subscribe from home, ask them first about any special sales. They always lower the price if you ask. Maybe they have a student rate!
